Honeylips is Trolldom's enthusiastic
Inventor Troll.
His unique inventions are often the topics of lively discussion and
conversations around Trolldom. Everyone knows that Honeylips' inventions
don't always work exactly as planned. That's why the unveiling of new
inventions is always an exciting event.
Here we see Honeylips with one of his latest Inventions, the 'Party
Machine'. It produces wild lighting and other special effects, plays
music (current choices are DISCO, POLKA, BIG BAND and SOFT ROCK), and has
many interesting sound effects built in as well. |
You may wonder how Honeylips got his
name. There are several reasons. the most obvious reason is that he really
has a big mouth.
The second reason is that Honeylips is fond of all kinds of sweets -
candy, cookies, honey, ice cream, etc.
And then there is the fact that Honeylips is a well-known blabbermouth. He
loves to talk and will talk about anything. He especially enjoys talking
to ladies, and occasionally is given to slight exaggeration. But he is
good-natured and always willing to help, and his knowledge is much
appreciated. |

Honeylips is a versatile and creative
inventor. Some of his inventions haven't worked exactly as planned, but
that has never slowed him down. And a good thing, too. When he had
invented his first automobile - called the TROLLS ROYCE - and was
unveiling the prototype, it became quite apparent that a very important
part was missing. There was no steering wheel.
Oh, it was so very embarrassing.
But Honeylips never gives up. After he calmed down (that took about two
weeks), he fixed the problem, and we are happy to report that Honeylips'
Trolls Royce is the smoothest ride in Trolldom. |
Now you may think that we have lost
our marbles when we tell you that this is a picture of a table.
Yes indeed, this is Honeylips' very popular table, known as 'The Lemonade
Table'. There is a whole long story about how this all happened and we
promise to recount it later. Right now we are happy to report that this
strange structure is the Little Trolls' favorite place to enjoy a glass of
lemonade, soda or juice and cookies.
Honeylips has a positive attitude and he really
doesn't mind if an invention decides to become something other than what
he planned. That is exactly what happened here. |

Trollmagic is that special 'stuff'
that Trolls like to sprinkle everywhere, on everything and everybody. It
makes a person feel good and lifts one's spirits, much like SMILING does.
Trolls often send a large sprinkling on the
Mudhats, since they are so grumpy and ornery and always on a bad mood.
It's sort of like preventive maintenance. Of course Mudhats don't care for
Trollmagic (or so they say), but it's true that they are much less
troublesome after a good sprinkling. |
| As we said, Honeylips loves to talk
and he can spin the yarn with the best of them. He also appreciates good
story-telling, and enjoys hearing wild tales from RAGNAR the Viking Troll.
Ragnar tells lots of entertaining stories about
Vikings and old sailing ships. He has a magnificent singing voice, too,
and loves to sing all kinds of show tunes from musicals and opera. |
